With Good Friday tomorrow, I thought I’d share some of my top tips for revision over the Easter break, thinking particularly of all the Year 11 students out there!

  1. Plan your time – work out the days / times that you are going to work on your GCSE Maths revision. You might have a certain number of pages of your revision guide that you want to complete each day or week. Or a number of past papers to answer for practice. Use calendar entries in your phone to help to keep you accountable!
  2. Fill the gaps – think about how you will deal with any knowledge gaps. If there are questions you get wrong or you can’t attempt, how can you find out what you need to know. Online resources (like MyMaths and MathsWatch) or study guides can be helpful here.
  3. Spaced practice – think little and often…. as spaced practice helps retention.
  4. Look after yourself with fresh air and exercise to contrast with studying.
  5. Keep your end goal in mind to help support motivation – your hard work will pay off!
